Mini for Chef Sampling and Menu Testing
A new menu idea shouldn’t have to begin with a large batch.
Before committing ingredients, kitchen time and valuable menu space, chefs need a practical way to test whether a flavour direction works. CoChilli Pro Mini was created for that stage.
A smaller starting point
Mini provides approximately 270g of the complete three-part cooking system and is designed for around 6 to 8 servings. The final yield will depend on the main ingredient, portion size and style of service.
It gives chefs enough product to run a meaningful kitchen trial without preparing more food than the evaluation requires.
Test it with real ingredients
A tasting should reflect how the dish will actually be cooked and served.
Mini can be tested with meat, seafood, eggs or vegetables. This allows the chef to see how the base works with the intended main ingredient, rather than judging the flavour direction on its own.
The cook can then adjust the consistency, seasoning, reduction and final presentation to suit the menu.
Compare different menu ideas
One regional base can lead to several different dishes.
A chef might test the same base with chicken first, then explore how it performs with fish or vegetables. Mini makes those early comparisons more practical and helps the kitchen identify which combination best suits its customers and service style.
Learn before scaling
Small trials make it easier to notice what needs changing.
Is the consistency right for the dish? Does the portion size work commercially? Can the kitchen reproduce the result during service? Does the final presentation belong on the menu?
These decisions are easier to make before moving into larger-volume production.
Useful for chef and team sampling
Mini can also support internal tastings and staff training.
The kitchen team can experience the flavour direction, understand the three-stage method and discuss how the finished dish should be presented. This creates a clearer reference point before the dish reaches customers.
The cook remains in control
CoChilli Pro provides a structured regional starting point, but it doesn’t decide the finished dish.
The chef still chooses the main ingredient, consistency, seasoning, garnish and presentation. Mini simply makes it easier to explore those decisions on a practical scale.
Move forward with confidence
Once the trial has confirmed the recipe, portion style and service plan, the kitchen can decide whether the dish is ready for the menu and whether a larger production format is appropriate.
Mini isn’t only a smaller pack. It is a practical first step for discovering, testing and refining a menu idea before scaling it.
